Feniks - Reconstructing Flanders Fields

adv-nl-feniks-logeren-210-141.jpg

The issue of reconstruction dominated Belgian society after the First World War. From Leuven to Ypres and from Nieuwpoort to Dinant, the war had left its mark.

The recovery was first and foremost human work. While some never returned, most of the residents picked up the thread again shortly after the war. The result of their labor is still visible in the landscape today.
